He is a right-handed batsman who usually plays as a middle-order batsman for the Indian national cricket team. He has represented India in all formats of the game and is considered as one of the best fielders in the team. Rahane made his international debut in 2010 and has been a consistent performer for India in the last decade. He has played for several Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises including Mumbai Indians, Rising Pune Supergiants, and Delhi Capitals. Rahane has also captained the Indian team in a few international matches and has been praised for his leadership skills.
