Cricket having a bet racket unearthed

The Devanahalli police on Monday arrested a gang of 7 operating a cricket having a bet racket for the India-New Zealand cricket fit from a dhaba at the outskirts of the town.
The accused Prashanth, Manjunath, Chethan, Jagadish, Vinod M., Vinod Kumar, and Charan had been stuck red-handed whilst they had been busy receiving having a bet quantity from punters on-line.
The police recovered ₹36,500 from the accused, whilst 3 in their friends escaped. Efforts are on to trace them down, a police officer mentioned.
The police have seized their cell phones.
