The 8 present Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises submitted their player-retention record on Tuesday for the following version.

They have been allowed to retain a most of 4, whilst the 2 new franchises — Lucknow and Ahmedabad — can gain 3 from the remainder of the participant pool sooner than the January public sale. This is the record of avid gamers retained through KKR forward of the IPL 2022 public sale.
