WATCH: Stuart Broad loses cool after being distracted by a ‘camera’ during the Hobart Test

The display of frustration and anger is not a new thing in cricket. Often players get involved in a heated debate with either their opponents or sometimes even with on-field umpires. When plans don’t work accordingly, players are seen yelling and expressing their disappointment.

However, in the recently concluded fifth and final Ashes Test between England and Australia, English pacer Stuart Broad was spotted screaming at a camera. It all happened on Day 2 in the 63rd over of Australia’s first innings when Broad pulled out of his run-up right before delivering the ball as he was distracted by the camera moving behind the batter.

Notably, the camera generally hovers around the boundary, but in this case, it acted as a big distraction for Broad. The Nottingham-lad was so angry with the activity that he was heard saying, ‘Stop moving the robot’ after pulling out in his delivery stride.

England collapse again as Australia win Hobart Test to claim series 4-0

The Ashes 2021-22 concluded after Australia produced another dominating bowling display to beat England by 146 runs in the fifth and final Test. With the victory, the hosts successfully claimed the five-match series 4-0.

The tourists, who were looking for a consolation win, were set at 68/0 in their chase of 271. However, a batting collapse saw England losing all 10 wickets for just 56 runs to eventually get all out for 124.

“It’s been a frustrating tour, tough tour for us. We have to keep learning to get better. Not go away from here and keep making the same mistakes. Not long before we play Test cricket again and an opportunity to turn things around. It’s pretty obvious we need to be putting more runs on the board. Too often, we have not given our bowlers enough. We have been outplayed by Australia,” said England skipper Joe Root after the match.
